Who operates Tellie
Tellie is developed and operated by Olanrewaju Oyinbooke. For support, privacy questions, or requests about information you have sent us, contact oyinbookeola@outlook.com.
Information kept on your device
Tellie stores saved TV names, brands, identifiers and local network addresses, your selected TV, saved YouTube video IDs and titles, theme and appearance choices, and cached app-artwork URLs on your device. The app and its widgets share relevant settings through an Apple App Group. Samsung and LG pairing keys are stored in the iOS Keychain so approved devices can reconnect.
These settings are not uploaded to a Tellie server. iOS backup and device-migration behavior is controlled by Apple and your device settings. Keychain items can persist after uninstalling an app; use Forget for a TV and revoke its permission on the TV when you want to remove pairing access.
Local network access
With your permission, Tellie discovers compatible TVs through Bonjour and checks local-network addresses for supported TV services. Remote commands, typed text, app-launch requests, video IDs you choose to play, and TV status travel directly between your phone and TV. A TV and its apps may handle that information according to their own policies. Some TV protocols use unencrypted local connections; use Tellie on a network you trust.
Tellie does not request your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or precise location. Local Network access is used to find and control TVs, not to establish your geographic location.
Artwork and other external services
Tellie requests streaming-app artwork information from Apple’s App Store lookup service and loads artwork from Apple-provided URLs. For saved and starter YouTube videos, it loads thumbnails from Google’s image service at i.ytimg.com. These requests expose normal connection information such as your IP address and the requested app or video identifier to the service receiving the request. The current app does not attach a Tellie account identifier or an advertising identifier to those requests.
Launching a streaming app or video invokes services on your TV. Those services, Siri and Shortcuts, and iOS system features operate under their providers’ terms and privacy policies. See Apple’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy.
More from TheOyinbooke
Tellie uses the shared OyinbookeKit catalogue to show other apps by Olanrewaju Oyinbooke in Settings. It requests the developer’s public app list from Apple’s App Store lookup service using your App Store storefront country, and caches that public list on your device for a day. A bundled list can appear when offline. Apple receives the request and normal connection information; Tellie does not add an advertising identifier or a Tellie account identifier. Tapping Get opens Apple’s App Store interface. There is no cross-app activity tracking or shared API-key feature in Tellie.
Beta diagnostics and support messages
If you test Tellie through TestFlight, Apple processes beta usage information, crash diagnostics, screenshots and feedback according to its TestFlight privacy terms and your choices. Information Apple makes available to the developer may be used to diagnose defects and improve Tellie. See Apple’s TestFlight privacy notice.

Your choices and deletion
- Revoke Tellie’s Local Network permission in iOS Settings to stop local discovery and control.
- Forget individual TVs in the TV picker and remove saved favourites through Favourites editing.
- Revoke Tellie’s pairing authorization on your TV if you no longer want it to connect.
- Remove the app to remove its app-container data. Shared App Group data, Keychain records, backups, and support messages may require the separate steps described above.
- Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you have sent directly to us. We may need to verify that a request comes from the person concerned.
Children and changes
Tellie is a general-purpose TV utility. Starter video links do not make it a service directed specifically to children. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children through the app. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can address it.
We may update this policy when the app or our practices change. The current policy and effective date will appear on this page. Contact oyinbookeola@outlook.com with any questions.
